My wife and I recently employed Michele Schuler to represent us in the sale of our home on Mercer Island, Washington. That was a very good decision. Ms. Schuler is very experienced in general and specifically regarding sales on Mercer Island. Ours was an older home with a lot of postponed maintenance and evidence of occupation by four children and a dog. By local standards, it was pretty shabby. Complying with all of Michele’s advice, we sold the house for 17% more than the asking price which was based on multiple other estimates of fair market value including a recent unrelated appraisal.

Michele made very specific recommendations for improvement of the property prior to sale, which proved highly cost-effective, and did not include any expensive remodeling. We were most impressed by the cadre of people upon whom she called to get the property ready for sale, including a personal assistant, a design specialist, broadly capable handymen, painters, cleaners, window washers, drone equipped photographers, yardmen, and others. It appeared that the volume of work supports all of them sufficiently that they respond promptly to any of her requests. When one potential buyer was concerned about a crack in the foundation, she had it fixed before the sunset. We could hardly believe how good the house looked when it was ready to show. All these services seemed reasonably priced, and the cost of them plus the capital gains tax we will be paying (for a property acquired in 1985) will easily be covered by that 17%!

Furthermore, dealing with her is a pleasure. She is a fine communicator and very responsive. Our experience with Michele was great!
